INTERIOR SPACES 2011-2017
With sleepless nights came an abundance of internet research.
I study the devastating impact from global warming, topography maps, and extraordinary places.
In 2011, I wandered into hidden caves; with their own self sustaining ecosystem.
Water condensation created amazing wall patterns, with mutated forms,
fantastic rooms, unimaginable. All hidden and underground.
THE HALLOWS
Seeing, tracing, recording and embracing, at a visceral level; i experienced the soothing movement of water.
LIFE LESSON
No matter how hard we try to move, force and redirect water.
Water makes its own path by way of least resistance.
Fluid, altering the surface of the earth absorbing imbedded memories.
Memories of time itself.
THE RESURRECTION THROUGH ILLUSIONS
In retrospect, I see.
Using color, and through an intuitive process,
I recreated a new interior, a playful fantastic world within myself.
I created eleven paintings in this series.
